Dealer Name:  Arlington Acura

I am a fresh college grad, and have a limited credit history. I went to this dealership to get a TSX using the acura fresh college grad loan program (5.9% APR, no payments for 3 months, yadda yadda).

first, this dealer did not give me the best price. They quoted a price even higher than their website says. Then, I got quotes from other dealers in Chicagoland - only then did they agree to match them. First they lied about the price.

So the price is negotiated, now - the financing. I filled out a loan app, and SPECIFICALLY said that i want it sent only to the Honda / Acura fresh grad program. next thing I know, im getting letters in my mail from the First Bank, Chase and others declining me! I KNEW i wouldnt be accepted at other banks because i havent had a credit history for very long... i TOLD even senior managers at the dealership about this. Yet, they went and sent my app out to every damn bank in the city... They said "we knew you wouldnt get approved for the Honda Student financing, because I am not a citizen of the US". Bullshit. Second, they lied about the conditions of their company's financing.

Finally, I was "approved" by some bank for a "good" APR, which they havent even told me. I got disgusted, and went over to the Schaumburg Acura dealership - sure enough, even with the bad credit that these guys knocked on my report, I was approved for the Honda-Acura loan with 5.9% APR as I expected, for a better price than Arlington - without haggling! I DID qualify for the best APR that the honda student program gives. Obviously - Arlington lied.

I would never trust that dealership, or any Bob Rohrman group dealership again, though I have no problems with the Acura I just bought. If youre considering ann acura... drive 5 miles to Golf and Higgins.... go to Schaumburg acura. Its right here, and they dont lie (or they do it well :)
