General Complaint

Name: Charles Harper
Location: McDonough, Georgia

First I must say that my complaint is not with a particular Acura dealership rather with Acura as a corporation. Myself and my wife have owned 4 Acura's in the past, 1 Legend, 2 Integra's and 1 TL. My problem is with my newest Integra. I live in Georgia where my automobile must be tested for emissions. I took the 99 Acura in for testing and it failed the emissions test. I was advised that the catalytic converter was bad. The car has just over 80,000 miles and the converter is just "out of warranty". I called Acura and spoke to young man who advised me that he was sorry that Acura would not assist in the repair of the car. I asked to speak to his supervisor or manager and he refused saying he was "IT". The converter cost $830.00 bucks and can only be purchased through...........you got it....Acura. Since the car is so new there are no after market converters available. I think the price is a tad high, and they had me by the "short hairs". I had to purchase through Acura and had to pay the exorbatent price. I don't think that Acura cares about current customers. They only care about profits today. Well if they continue in this direction, its just a matter of time. I will NEVER spend another dime of my hard earned money on any Acura or Honda product. There next care could be named "pacer".
