Bought a used 1987 Acura Legend. Within 3 days we discovered an oil leak. $500.00 of repairs, car engine still running rough and car literally shakes once the engine gets heated up. *Now* we are told there are a host of problems, engine related *possibly* transmission related. The mechanic's advice is drive it until it dies *or* take it to a transmission shop. Obviously, we were scammed *big time*. Consumer reports lists Acura Legend as one of the top best bets in used vehicles. Yeah, right!! We are going to drive this car until it dies, but in the meantime I'm spreading bad press on the offending dealership and the Acura Legend. Hopefully, others can be warned before they make a similar mistake. BIG, hard lesson learned here. Without fail, no matter the make, model or so-called consumer report reviews on a car, take it to a qualified mechanic to be checked out thoroughly before you buy or you may be sorry.
